Brief

HIV field testing naturally needs to be conducted in a safe and discreet environment. The Eastern Cape Department of Health needed HIV testing booths that could be quickly and easily deployed in public areas compact enough to fit into a healthworkers own vehicle.

Solution

Using the Triga Go textile display system we designed an open spiral layout that allowed for a private screening area big enough to accommodate a table, two chairs and testing  equipment. The open spiral allowed us to dispense with doors which can be complicated (and time consuming) to install. With these testing booths regularly deployed in shopping malls, we also needed to ensure privacy from above. We designed a tool-less, flat pack ceiling which integrated with the Triga Go system and utilised plug and play lighting.
